More a parallel buyer as it seems that more are bought before the last set are even at RJ's workbench....

Well that was unexpected.

I have been smelling an odd electrical smell in my office/workshop, and have been trying to figure out what it was as I don't want a fire. All my Retro machines are on an isolating bus bar, so I knew it wasn't anything to do with that, and it's easy to isolate anything in my room very quickly.

However, the culprit revealed itself this morning when I cam to switch on my magnifying lamp, and there was a fizz, a pop, the lamp filckered then went out!!

I pulled it apart and found this:

And once removed saw the full extend of the fzzzt:

At least the resistor code is still visible, but not sure if I have any of that wattage (Looks like 1/2 watt)

Hmm, so there was another similar resistor too:

Same value as well. Stupid resistors.

I also found a cap with a loose leg...
