Just for fun I decided to hook up the TRS-80 to the micro TV and make sure I could get a steady signal, and this is the result:

It's really quite a nice little TV overall :)

I was thinking that you could probably do with a little composite video green screen monitor, but then saw how much people are trying to sell them for on eBay.... GULP!

Which is precisely how I ended up with this little fella.

I think I still have the Philips BM7502 green screen monitor I bought to use with my BBC model B...that supports composite video iirc.
Note to self: Must recap the Beebs plus accessories and test them sometime this year...

Perish the thought...I've owned it from new (since the mid-80s) and once I refurb it 9and the Beebs) it will probably be the main display for them until I sort out some VGA-style solution or fix my Cub monitor...

Well that was disappointing. My 2012 Macbook Pro has died, the keyboard input is mullered even with an external keyboard.
Not happy with that at all, so my Dell XPS has now been pressed into service.
Turns out it was also the source of my 50Hz hum on the scopes...

Probably the USB interface died on the MacBook Pro. :(

My thoughts as well. It might be repairable, but getting the parts is the problem, and a donor board may well have the same issue. If I can find schematics I might be able to ID the part, otherwise it's toast, at least from my perspective.
