Just thought I need a case with floppy and CDROM. Plus a front bay CF adapter be useful.

Never heard of those until now.. Yeah looking on Google images it looks like one. Also means it's going to be next to impossible to find a case for it i guess.

I'm considering ordering from PCBway. It might save you some keyboard and mouse hassle.

You need case with enough expansion slots on the back, probably a full ATX or AT case. The one you looked at is a micro ATX type case with only 4 slots.

Look at full tower on the scan website.

Yeah the slots don't line up on other cases. I had a full AT flat case in the beginning. That thing was huge. I'm not going to have the space to store such a large case :( So probably just have to stay as is.

The best I could find. A little bit of plastic filler/weld needed to fix the front bezel (or just leave it).

Just got a quote for the MC68040RC40V but the V is according to grok a 3.3v version... Didn't know they existed even.. I'm also assuming they are normally 5v...

Yes 3.3v.

They are the equivalent of LC parts. They have an MMU but no FPU.

Only rated to 33MHz (not 40MHz) because they are plastic QFP not ceramic PGA. Also means they don't fit into most 68040 boards directly.

People in the MAC world have created interposers for QFP parts that allow you to plug them into the more traditional PGA sockets.
