Hi BW,
yes 256 Colors at 1280x1024
Atari Falcon Nova can take 2MB Videoram cards max so 800x600 /24bit is possible ...
I need your DFB Speeder desperately ;-)

I think that goes for pretty much everyone with a standard Falcon (me included)!
I bought a Nemesis when they first came out but was always afraid to fit it...too many horror stories from others who tried and failed (and even some who succeeded)...

New version:
http://www.happydaze.se/basiliskii/
-
Works on Falcon CT60 :yay:
You are going to want to set "modelid 14" in basilisk.inf and use a Quadra ROM.
(It will work with '030 roms too, but in that case all caches are disabled and it's going to be very slow)
Note that the Mac side is tricked into believing it's an '040 since that is all that it understands.
The 060 FPU is currently disabled. Getting it enabled, and masquerading as an '040 FPU, is currently in progress.
- Better support for running off ext2 filesystem, lowercase filenames etc
- Integrated platform independent code from a more updated fork of BasiliskII
- Some sound related work.
There is still no sound output regardless of setting, but "nosound false" is slightly better at not locking up the system now.
Generally you want to use "nosound true", which is the default, unless something refuse to start without sound hardware (Sierra games for example)
- Misc lowlevel bits and bobs.

I bought mine as soon as the TOS 4.04 versions were available in the UK...almost 30 years ago now...
It's probably the only computer that is worth more now than I first paid for it (new)... ;)

The problem isn't laying your hands on one. They are out on the market pretty often. It's how many hands you walk away with when the deal is done. :D

Very true!
I do see them from time to time but it's hard to justify "collectors prices" when you mainly only intend to use it for checking compatibility every now and again. A bit similar with the TT nowadays.

The new version works well on my Atari TT with Matrix TC1208 Graphiccard under 256 Colors and NVDI_TC as driver ...
My machine has 256MB Fastram, is Basilisk limited to 64MB?

Here's my TT with Matgraph Matrix TC1208 running at 1600x1200, 256 colour. Do I win the screen resolution contest?
