Designing a new reset circuit for the STF/E mostly because the reset circuit causes problems with the machines (hence recapping) but when boosters start getting in the mix, the reset signal needs to be better controlled. force in terms of flashy clock, original machines need a lot of modifications doing to the reset circuit.

Because JLC has a size limit of 2cm, I am going to see if I can do a all in one 555 / 556 reset board. Of course H5 users have all these tweaks and fixes already built on anyway.

I decided to go with a "all in one" solution that will fit the 556 STF and 555 STE etc..
I need to figure out how to get them panelized on JLC so they can assemble them as they are below the 2cm min limit..

I have finally found the next 4MB STRAM boards.. I made these ones the standard 1.6mm ( the originals were 1.2mm I think). So there may be a slight height problem in some machines.
The problem with the original boards, which has been on sale for some time, is China made them and around 60 I had to fix  Then I had to do it all again because of some fake chips from China which caused me to scrap a batch also  In the end I just purchased chips from Mouser which unfortunately were expensive but at least I knew I would not have to be scrapping boards again.
I hope this time I can assemble them myself on the Voltera. I got JLC to assemble the resistors which will save a enormous amount of time.

As usual one task creates multiple other ones  The clamps on the Voltera moving ever so slightly while fitting and removing the boards to paste them  So I have done a quick 3-D object so I can insert the board into this template, which should hopefully align to the Voltera bed.
Ordered 3 reset boards from OSH as I don't need them quick :)

Been busy with work lately and doing stock for my store. So not much hardware stuff going on currently :(

Replace my black 16" fan with a 18" one. Amazing the airflow difference. My black fan on 3 (max) is nothing like number 1 (slow) on the new fan. A bit louder unfortunately, but it does drown out the constant squawking of the birds outside.
