Its just staying red... my monitor screen flickers when I power on the ST, but does nothing else.. You can see the LED's reflection in the connector. If it's steady red, it means the FPGA is picking up the expected 160256 cycles for each VSYNC. Check HALT on your CPU as well if you get no picture on another screen as well.
