I'm sure you do. :)

I'm just thinking about eliminating the cable from the equation as being the point of fault. i.e. The cable may be fine.

It doesn't work on my Atari 800XL either, same thing, monochrome. It definitely could be the cable for sure.

This arrived in the post at lunchtime:

And the picture is definitely improved for sure and any fuzziness on the menu at top left has gone:

As you can see, the word 'ROBOTS' is actually clear and has no bars or artifacting, and the general image is much nicer, with much less artifacting:

Certainly the area where the player is stood is much improved for sure, and I think the rest is simply artifacting from the dithering used. I need to weave this cable into my video switch environment now, it'll look great.

Isn't it just :) I'm certainly happy with it this way for sure as the overall picture quality on other things is superb.

I have a feeling my other cable is for Atari and on checking, it's missing the middle pin, pin 6 out of 8, which is for chroma, hence why the original cable was only outputting monochrome.

It looks like the original 5 pin socket on the early C64 was composite only.

As for my Atari cable, IIRC I used it on my 65XE before I upgraded to VBXE and that has proper S-Video out.

Quick project done, a BlueSCSI:

PXL_20230622_085246143.jpg

So far so good, it recognises the hard drive files on the SD card and generates the necessary log file, so it seems I have a working Blue Pill :)

Next is to try and use it with my Archimedes A5000 as the old Apple SCSI drive I currently have in it seems to be failing.

I'll probably build a 2nd as they have a very low component count and are very quick to build.

Would be interesting to see the links for the BoM for this etc. - especially since the RasPi pico solution from the store have sold out already :(

I had an online BoM, will see if I can find it, but there really is not much tbh.

Just out ATM will get back to you.

BlueSCSI v1.1 assembly guides and BOM from Mouser. The BOM is also listed at the top of each assembly page.
