The eBay vendor assures me they are NOS from Acorn. Let's just hope Acorn didn't switch to 22mm balls for RISCPC.
The seller appears affiliated to CJE Micros who's the Acorn specialist bricks-and-mortar retailer down on the south coast. He'd certainly know if they'd fit an Archie, I'm sure.
Best to ask explicitly before they're posted?
The word 'most' in there is causing me to itch.

If they are 22mm then they don't fit. But he assures me they are NOS for logictech Acorn mice.
But the advert clearly says 22mm and also that they fit in Atari mice (which I'm fairly sure are 22mm).
The will be here Saturday, I'll measure them and see if they fit in my Acorn Archimedes Mice.

Mine arrived yesterday...
It's always good when your balls drop.
:dizzy:
They don't fit the mouse I got with the A5000. I wasn't really surprised as that needs a 20mm ball, but they do fit the Logitech mouse and should be good for other mice too.
Better condition than the current ball too.

@rubber_jonnie
So the only viable solution for your A5000 mouse now is the hand-made way I presume...

It's looking that way. I might have time this weekend to have another attempt, and this time I'll use the correct amount of hardener!!!

I'm waiting for an X68000 mouse to reach me and I guess I will give the "SUGRU" method a try, but of course everything is up to the actual state of the ball.

Indeed.
I do have some Sugru, or at least something very like it and I made a ball from it originally, but it was too light with no steel ball inside, but it was just too light like the Delrin ball I have. However it might make a good mold.
Now I have the metal powder to mix with the resin I may fare better providing I don't stuff up the amount of hardener again...
