No, not as yet.

@rubber_jonnie You have spurred me on with SepTandy, so I've mailed Marek (the guy with the TRS-80 4P I told you about) to see if he is interested in attending the event.

So, it looks like the Zener diodes I need to complete the repairs are lost in the post :(

They're 10 days late now, so I've ordered some more from a different supplier. It's bloody annoying as it's all I need before I can close up the TRS-80 and call it repaired.

If they aren't in the post by Wednesday, then I'll have to ask for a refund, but it's bloody annoying.

I've had something similar with the Electrolube EML200 I ordered from Farnell. They said they had them in stock, then it was delayed until the next week. Three weeks later they've cancelled the order has their "partner" couldn't supply in time and my payment has expired. And this is Farnell who charge an exorbitant, not returnable, handling fee.

Yes, Farnell (RS & Mouser plus others) all seem to have some ridiculous charges and it's one of the reasons I tend not to use them for small orders. I've found a few good UK suppliers on eBay and the web, and just won't use the larger ones anymore unless there is just no other way.

RS merely have a delivery charge. Farnell have both a delivery charge and a massive handling fee. I wish I never had to use them. Unfortunately I don't trust anyone on eBay these days.

Yeah, but a very expensive delivery charge! Totally with you on Farnell though, it's pretty outrageous. As for eBay, it's taken a very long time to find a few that are good. One useful one I found, not eBay though, is Cricklewood Electronics. Prices are reasonable, as is postage and orders over £30 have free delivery.

They don't have everything I need, but have a reasonable selection overall.

Indeed, Cricklewood Electronics is good for old chips. (Whenever I hear the name Cricklewood I always think of "The Goodies" as that was where they were fictionally based.)
