Yeah that's cool. Haven't seen a C64 Educator before.

The blackout at 3:48 reminds me of when I was wiring up an Amiga (or was it C128?) PSU connector on holiday in a static caravan a few years back.

Had too much wine and ended up mixing up the from<>to pin direction.

The result being something like 9V AC shorting to 5V DC, which blew the power to half the campsite!

I just acted innocently and rang reception to report a power loss and they made it right half hour later.

File selector box look

Been doing a lot of work across all my music programs, and it got late last night when something looked off:

This morning I checked and found out why the File selector looks weird in Sound Chip Synth:

File selector in EmuTOS 1.0.prg:

EmuTOS 1.0.prg.jpg

File selector in EmuTOS snapshot.prg:

EmuTOS snapshot.prg.jpg

I really wasn't looking for this. I was trying to figure out why my sample was 3Hz flat at 437 for a concert A

As you can see, originally the file selector is nested inside the main window of the program.

It's not really nested. They've just moved the OK and Cancel buttons to the bottom, making it taller.

By nested, I meant that the file selector is not normally outside the program window of the Sound Chip Synth program.

On reflection I get what you mean.

Put some bits together from what I've been doing.

Created a 12 page PDF showing the steps/settings needed to get a usable YM2149F sample from Sound Chip Synth, which can then be played on a keyboard.

Deskpic.

Since I can't use Deskpic because the associated ACC component pees Notator off. I got to thinking, why isn't there a program that displays monochrome images as good as this program that can just be run from a .PRG file. Sol-38 impressed me colour pic wise and I have that on my Game/Demo SD set up, but I haven't found anything as good as deskpic for monochrome .IMG files.

Is there not a simple program out there that will fullfil this task without needing to load into RAM?

If you put "deskpic" in the utils search loads come up..

I'm sure there are loads of other programs which do it as well under different names.

Thanks Exxos. Bookmarked said search and will make my way through them soon. Cheers. 8-)
