DMA works on the TF536 on the CDTV and if DMA wasnt working at all the Floppy drive wouldnt work. There isnt any magic to it really.

Yeah -- that's what I mean about I can't see how the timings are so important (well, other than the 1us max bus relinquish period requirement of the floppy) -- but I've never got the floppy to work on my board at all. The TF536 runs unaccelerated all the time on TOS2.06. It only runs accelerated when accessing fast ram.
