The 500s I upgraded used same chips as some Atari Sts but the 500+ I put a 1mb trapdoor ram into it.

So the wife has gone out and here i'm sat having lined p a "broken" rev 5 Amiga 500 motherboard, thinking I'll have some fun fixing this whilst she is out.
Bloody thing works.

Feeling short changed now.

I have all of the Atari parts, it's all of the other stuff on the bom that I will have to order but got to wait for pay day, so you'll get a head start on me.

I'm not even sure it's possible to break a Rev 5.
The fkin things are built to last a nuclear winter.

Don't tell the missus but I can finally cross another computer off the wanted list.

This turned up in the post today.

Of course it looked a whole lot worse when it arrived. It resembled something taken from a dumpster. Just the F3 key to find and then of course the mandatory accelerator, network adaptor, etc. The keys need a good retrobrite which I've never tried before.

Left on the list to find now is an Atari TT, an Enterprise, Sinclair QL and a Memotech MTX512.

Still ongoing, though not much sun this time of year. Need to do a update in fact.
