Wow more Firmware updates, and that looks a lot of soldering!
I had to pack up my HX-10 last week, but I will get it out again and do more testing focusing on those Tape-to-roms.

You can flash firmwares from v2 series, but SCC will practically stop working. It will be very quiet.
From future v2.1.x firmware there will be no need to use Flash button. If this feature will be reliable across multiple MSXs.
By holding GRAPH during boot you will get to flash menu. Whole reboot cycle will be much faster as well.
