I think the versions from September last year were up to date. The one marked as beta (1.3.25) works fine here. The "official" one (1.3.23) works fine too. I was still using the 1.3.3 version from '99, which caused the system to freeze. Probably because it was too old. My bad, I was using the wrong version. I think the problem with the non-functioning whichamiga is solved.
terriblefire wrote: 26 May 2023 14:01Can I just check you have MMULib installed? Without it you wont get anywhere and you cannot use the B1260 060 library with a TF.
I wasn't sure about MMULib, so I deleted 68060.library from LIBS: and downloaded MMULibs from Aminet and reinstalled just to be sure. I also reinstalled SysInfo from Aminet. And the problem persists. Immediately after starting the SysInfo screen the amiga freezes.

So i cant get the WhichAmiga you speak of because its been pulled. The version i have works fine here as does SysInfo 4.4.
Can you try a completely clean WB install. Whatever it is sounds software

Just to add to what Stephen said, I tested Sysinfo 4.4 and whichamiga 1.3.3 ,on a TF1260 with OS3.2.2 and 3.2.2 roms and they work no problem, seem like you have some sort of software clash with your system

Well it still could be a hardware issue but lets eliminate software issues first.

IDE Terminator arrived so I fitted that, but my A1200 seems to sit there with internal HD light flashing :( Must have waited at least 30sec with nothing happening.
I've gone back to fitting a IDE to CF with a blank CF card on the internal IDE and it seems to work fine with quick booting.

Thats a shame. But i think the blank CF card is a good option. Or you could have a non-bootable "work" partition on that interface.

Wandering round with my laptop flashing TF1260s at the SAUG meet. The feedback is that is a major speed boost in terms of feel in workbench.

Workbench does feel faster to use. Opening folders/drawers in OS 3.2.x in 64 colours is quite zippy now!

Just updated mine to iteration 4.
Everything worked fine (Big Time Sensuality WHDLoad is still too slow, and the devs say it's a TF1260 issue, but I digress).
What I really find odd is that running cpuspeed from the same archive returns that my firmware is out of date.
Is it because my TF1260 was bought elsewhere?

i can confirm mine was one of them, and wow what an improvement, so much faster in workbench, and on boot time even on the internal amiga ide
