After all the hoo hah with the LS11 (I truly had a nightmare and I don't think it's right), I figured since I was getting a white screen, based on the Mega 4 diags, I'm looking at a ROM problem.
At lunch time, and off the back of all the meanyism, I suddenly thought "Wait a mo', the IDE adapter doesn't give a damn if the mainboard has ROM installed, what if I fit that and see if I can test the damn thing, see if it will run at all?"
So, at 17:00 prompt, I dashed upstairs to the man cave and soldered in a socket to one of the H4 expansion slots, then pulled the CPU and ROM from the H4, fitted the IDE interface complete with CPU and powered on.
Well if it only didn't god damn bleedin work!!!
Here we are booting to TOS 2.06:

And booted to TOS 1.04 in all it's rainbow loveliness:

All good news because it has at least tested the video circuit, keyboard and other bits and bobs.
More laters :)

Hurrah, great to see it alive.
Not sure you'll need that DiagROM for the H4 after all.

@exxos Well, I put the dot up towards the L/H rear corner of the board (I think there was a * there), is that correct?
