Mostly controlled by the GLUE.. I don't see what else could be wrong with it..

You know, when you finally get your hands on your assembled board I know you'll kick yourself when you find something obvious to you.

I think you've done great considering you've worked off of a number of schematics and still been able to help with mine and Icky's dodgy diagnostics. (Which are improving thanks to you!)

Getting the desktop to show on mine today is a MAJOR step and I think that the whole mouse and keyboard thing will be easier than you think.

Will try that, thanks Pete.

If the mouse is not working the keyboard is probably not working as the mouse is managed by the keyboard micro controller.
The keyboard is connected to one of the ACIA so next is to check E, VMA and VPA.
If you get something on the serial port that means the MFP is working .. at least partially. The ACIA IRQ go through the MFP so there could be issues with interrupt in general.

So, just a quick update,

Still not able to get the floppy to work on the STF. I've tried it on my two working Mega's and it's fine.

Next will be to swap out the YM2149 and 1772 to see if that was the problem. I'm waiting for replacements to come, so will put a stop on my progress somewhat. (chinese postal service)

In the meantime I will scope out the STF board compared to one of my Mega's and see what the signal difference is between the two boards with regard to the floppy. It's got to be something simple as everything else works fine so far.

That and I've been tasked with some PLC programming to do over the next couple of months will slow down my progress a bit.

Will keep you all up to date.

Just to recap.. You have done the 1772 mods?

You Mention IMP DMA.. Those are really fussy, so I would use a normal -38 for now.

The 5 resistors onto the 06 chip? If so yes.
Should be up to date I think.

Have put a 38 in last night, no difference, so think I've got a working IMP :D
