Wow that’s not very good print. I thought I had done a bad job with the STFM case remake when I printed first time without much calibration but that’s very bad. Any view of the whole thing.

Here's it all put together....all working. Lots of modification to get everything to fit.

Wow, I think 'hot garbage' is a massive understatement, I've done way better than that with a cheap £99 printer from eBay.

I'm shocked at just how bad it is.

Yes, I have submitted complaints and they are working on it. At least that's what PCBway has been messaging me.

I have a video ready to go, but figured I'd give them a chance to fix it before posting. (I didn't tell them this though...don't like threatening folks that way).

They keep asking to sponsor my videos (and they have a couple in the past). I can't help but think that if they'd sponsored the video and sent the print as a sponsored product that the quality would have been a lot better.

@coonsgm I've heard similar stories about their silkscreen being really bad in the past.. But because people did videos on it they replaced the boards for free.. I've seen it happen quite a few times in the past but this was probably 2+ years ago now. Cannot comment on their 3-D services though.. JLC has been really good there, but I only got small stuff made (even in metal) .

I have used PCBWAY for assembly & PCBs in the past, I cannot fault the quality of the work, but dealing with them has always been a total nightmare for me. No doubt there is a rant on the forum somewhere about it all.. For me personally is just not a company I will ever use again. But is always the same with companies who are outside of the UK.. Communication with them is always painful and slow at the best of times.

Possible, yeah. Mind you, it looks like whoever was in charge of the prints that day got the work experience kid to do it with a trowel. I dunno he'd have been switched on enough to know it was for a project video! ;)

I've not tried their 3D printing service myself, but one xmas they sent me some promotional gear which included a 3D printed logo and it was very good quality indeed, albeit only about 100x30x30mm. Absolutely flabbergasting how bad that is, therefore.

Well, I just posted the video on the build. Overall it was successful, but the case is still a disaster....a $400+ piece of hot garbage. Here's to hoping they fix it.

They offered me a $30 PCBWay credit towards a future purchase...

Told them "no thanks".

I should have just gone with the resin material. I hesitated because there was a warning of probable damage during shipping for resin builds and if I can get FDM quality I'm ok with, surely professionals with professional-grade FDM equipment should be able to do better than I could.

They did confirm that the layer height they used was 0.26mm (I guessed they used a 0.3mm) and that their large printer is slow which is what caused the remelt in the screw posts.
