The original DFB1 does exactly what you're asking: disble flash jumper means you'll just use the onboard ROM.

I don't know if the logic there has been altered for DFB1X, but if Exxos thinks it'll be safe, then probably best just to try it and see?

I don't believe I changed anything relating to that logic no..

I had a quick look, rather tired this week as not sleeping due to the heat :( but It looks like when flash is disabled the MB ROM runs at stock speed. So should be fine..

I have both onboard TOS 4.04 and the DFB1X installed and I use the Disable jumper to move between the two modes, with or without.
It seems to be working in accelerated mode withe the on board TOS so far.

Brough the jumper out of the casing with a small switch for easy access.
