Dott just crashed on Phoenix, tos 2.06 on dma transfer from ultrasatan
Will try my old stf mb tomorrow with tos 1.04 (via emutos).
Hmm. Just double check there is definitely no connection between those two BG pins you cut the trace of?

Yes think so. Will check it again.
Also will try it on my old stf 1mb today (hopefully).

Its dma related it crashes on a harddisk read from the acsi.

Used the latest firmware posted can of course also try the older one....

Older one is unlikely to work as there have been hardware changes.
Here's the selection of JEDs I tested with another user -- just in case I've done something silly and posted the wrong one here.
Our conclusion was that only the dstb1r2.jed was viable. That should be what you had.
Are all these tests at 16MHz? Do problems still exist at 8?
Thanks,
BW

On the Phoenix mb I tried 8 and 16.
Only tested 16 on the stf..
Will try it.

OK, thanks. That really does sound like something else is going on. That BG logic shouldn't really run into any problems at 8MHz. Curious!

fast… seems a bit better however it still crashes but not that frequently it seems.
Could ofcourse be a coincidence.
When it crashes it is on a read and the ultrasatan starts blinking like crazy…
Also have an adspeed so the grandpa of the dstb-1. This runs very stable with the same hardware.

OK, if none of the others are absolutely perfect, then the dstb1r2.jed should still be the focus of testing. Thanks. This is all with EmuTOS still, yes?
This is strange, though. I haven't seen *any* DMA related issues since the BG work and the other chap who's been testing for me hasn't had any problems on his various machines. Including Blitter working well.
Whereabouts are you based? I wonder if me getting my hands on your board is feasible?
