I'm afraid this is totally in hands of our Atari US friends there - unless some of them talk to Bradley, convince him that man, you're not getting any younger, do you really want to have all of this treasures lost forever in some local auction (or even worse, bulldozered or whatever) then there's nothing we can do.

Imagine, for 20+ years he's been complaining about not having any time as this is mostly one man job (IIRC he sometimes mentioned some kind of "Atari super technician", so maybe two people) but not doing anything about it. Not additional work force, no money invested into eshop, cataloguing, ... so he must be really an unusual fellow, thinking totally outside normal business practice.

When I close my eyes I see a kickstarter project...

It did rant about just that a few months ago.. wasn't trying to sound morbid, but if the guy drops dead tomorrow....

Thats what gets me on 2 points actually.. he can't have had much outlay with all the stuff.. I would assume hes basically raking in like 99% profit with all the time. He can't be short of money surely ? Employ several people to sort it all out.. triple stock on sale and get more profits which will pay those people wages.. but in 20 years, he won't do it. IIRC he didn't want to as he thinks people would steal stuff.. but maybe so, but better that then 2 warehouse full of stuff pending landfill.

Second point, People ask me for "bulk" discount on items, generally I say no.. its normally like 3-5 items.. As you guys know I sunk £25,000 this past year into stuff, so people asking for discount actually annoys me a little. But If I had paid next to nothing for some item, and had thousands of them, then sure I would likely give bulk discount. Though that is unlikely to ever happen.

In brads case, he must have huge piles of the same stuff, he won't do bulk discount. I tried to buy many things in bulk from him, he basically messed me about.. Its like he almost doesn't want to sell bulk of anything full stop, nevermind giving a discount.

Myself and alison wanted to sell PeST to him , half price, as he was "supposed" to be a top atari supporter.. but he offered £3 each or no deal. We couldn't even buy the bits for that. So again annoyed the hell out of myself and others. It would have made more sense to support community that way, rather than myself and aly shipping to USA multiple times.. but nope.

IMHO he just wants 100% profit and wants it all himself and stuff actually helping out anyone else, and basically to hell with all the stuff which is never going to get sorted out. Max profit to brad, screw everything else it seems. The guy really annoys the hell out of me and has done for a long time. He must have 2 or 3 washouses full of stuff unsorted ? no time in 20 years kinda suggests he has a problem there.

Credit to the guy for what he does of course, but its about time he started to think about the future I think.

I was actually thinking of raising money to buy the whole lot out of his hands. But only with my eyes closed because if he really wants max profitability, we'd need like god knows how many times the money we can possibly raise.

Going by what I see from him, I don't think he would even sell the stuff even if someone offered him millions for the lot. He has no idea on value, and nobody else would either. Not only that, who has space and capabilities to move all the stuff ? Then deal with sorting it all out..

I wanted to buy stuff from him, its like he doesn't want to sell stuff in bulk, never mind at a discount. My "Take" is he doesn't want people taking his stuff and selling it for a profit.. I wanted to buy 100 cart connectors from him, $5 each, fair enough, thats $500 plus postage and import tax.. If I listed them in my store they would end up being more like £7 to get costs back, its not like I would even be taking any sales from him.. he only deals with >£50 packages, I can deal with low volume stuff in EU in my store.. but nope.. if he sold them at $3 each I could sell them in my store at the same price.. that would help people out.. but he wont.. Does he really have the stock in the first place is a good question.

He doesn't seem to have any clue about business.. but then again, I mean how many packages is he sending out each day for huge profits ? If he had a million connectors and someone made a bulk offer for some, surely you would sell them ?! If he was running out of stocks, then why isn't he sorting out the other warehouses ?! The whole thing just makes no sense to me start to end. I think he just has his top sellers "to hand" max profit items, no "looking" for stuff etc.. fair enough..I really would like to know what goes on in his head..

The community shouldn't have to go though this crap in the first place, Brad needs to get on top of it all before its to late. The stuff he has would be useful for guys like me doing the STF remake, we need piles of bits. But just not dealing with the guy myself anymore. 10 years time, I don't want to be still doing this stuff.. The current "Atari boom" will end at some point.. then I guess nobody will really care if all the stuff he has goes to landfill.

1) Does anyone seen (in person) those warehouses where Bradley (Best Electronic) keep Atari equipment that he bought from Atari Corp. after bankruptcy?

2) How much did Bradley pay for it?

3) Did he move stuff from Atari warehouses to his own (what is physical address of those warehouses)? Does he need to pay rent of those warehouses every month??

Good question.. Don't know about USA, but here, palettes full of anything are like £20 each to buy. Number of items or value of items is irrelevant. £20 a load is all its worth, at least here on surplus markets.

Good question.. I always assumed he had his own space to store the stuff.. renting warehouses for 20 years doesn't seem a good solution.. unless rent is super cheap.
