OK, so I had to get yet another adapter, so 24 pin to 20 pin ATX, as well as the 20 pin to XT/AT style connector, and that arrived today, and there is some good news.
The Dolch LPAC itself works when hooked up to one of my ATX PSU's, so it is just the PSU that's dead. Since the PSU has no obvious signs of failure, I'm going to replace it with a 300W PICO PSU that should have the guts to run it just fine. That should be here Monday so I can start to get that back together then.
Definitely a sigh of relief to see it power on, it would be a difficult machine to replace.

Splendid, my PSU is out for delivery, hopefully I can get this computer back together in the next week as it's making my workshop look untidy with huge parts everywhere!!!

And the PSU arrived and it looks like we are on :)

Just need to figure out what leads I need to get it all working, still deciding if I want to add a 12v supply internally for the Pico, or just make it an external brick. The external brick would be much simpler that's for sure.

OK, so all the leads are transferred and the FDD and HDD are all powered and working :)
I decided to keep the PSU external due to a lack of room internally:

But also because if I find the PSU I have is not powerful enough, I can swap it out easily and just leave the PICO PSU internal as is.
That part will at least fit inside the old PSU and the whole thing'll be neat and tidy.

Next up I need to wire up the power switch so it works with the new PSU and put it all back together again.
I hate PSUs, especially the ones that go pop!
