@Amigaz If there is nothing further on this topic i'm inclined to delete it as it incorrectly gives the impression that the regulator should not be on botton of the TF360.

Yes, you are correct.
After some further testing we can cast aside my theory that it helps to move the TF360 slightly for it to boot.
A cold boot by toggling the power switch doesn't result in a boot but pressing the reset button when it doesn't cold boot it boots every time.
I am using a brand new PSU från Amigastore.eu and have also tested my old 4A PSU
