There is an RTC and battery backed up ram which we wont be bothering with in the MSX2 standard. The RTC is required but will be faked to a hard coded date unless someone is really in the mood to find a way to squeeze a battery on there.
I s'pose that a "starting date/time" plus then running the clock whilst the machine powered on if a good work-around. Maybe in future some sort of serial net device could be hacked on to do an NTP date, possibly using an add-on ROM image.
Anyway, unless someone is going to use a disk drive and productivity software I'm not sure anyone will notice. :-)
There is an RTC feature in the ARM so it could be done that way. But if thats the biggest bug anyone has i'll be happy.

Seems chucky is too busy to do the TFMSX anymore. Is anyone interested in picking up building it?

If nobody comes forward, then it's possible I could get some built. But would need a fab-ready BOM and PnP files to be able for me to just "dump" the project onto my fab-house to make them. I could likely flash firmware but that be about all I could do with it all. I know zero about the MSX stuff...

TBH nobody seems interested in building them. The project doesnt have an FPGA eithers. Its all original chips and some glue :)

No problem, it seems that many MSX fan (including myself) chose to build the Omega MSX2 computer with case and keyboard.

This design is meant for the casual gamer really. It's also an MSX2+ design. I can't remember if Omega was MSX2 yet?

It's been on my list to get myself one. I may be able to help build a few once my health improves a bit.
