Definitely. For me it’s partly the way they have packaged the games and secondly the cartridges give that nostalgic feeling.

I think they were originally just made for the previous handheld but work on the VS and EXP
I shall take that under advisement, thanks.

Ok, so word of warning regarding the Namco collections after I bought Namco Collection 1.

They DO NOT currently work with the Evercade VS due to licensing restrictions. They are only licensed for the handheld system. It says nothing about this restriction on Amazon, where I bought mine from, nor does it mention it on the Evercade site, which is pretty galling, since I now have a cart I paid £15 that won't work with my VS.

I discovered this after finding out it won't work in the VS and then going back and digging deep into the small number of 1 star reviews on Amazon.

Anyone with an EXP is interested, PM me, as since Evercade are no longer making it, it may be hard to get hold off.

Oh no. Not good, I guess this may be why they are no longer making those carts. Not good to make it known clearly to VS owners. Can you not return to Amazon?

No, not good at all. Most people who've had these carts and found they don't work with the VS seem to have had trouble once the packet is opened, and of course you don't find out it won't work until you open it. Pretty scummy from what I can see.

@Icky

So, there may be a silver lining to the 'portable' only Evercacde cart issue.

This Hyper Mega Tech portable has just appeared and it takes Evercade carts.

I may well order one for my birthday which is next weekend (Though it isn't released until November), since I have a decent library of carts, including the Namco one that doesn't work with my VS due to the license, but there is a hint this new hand held does work with it, so for the price I think it's worth a punt.

When I eventually get one I'll report back.

Well, my wife came through with a most excellent birthday gift:

Very pleased, especially since the Toaplan Arcade 1 cart has Tiger-Heli, one of my all time favourite arcade games. It turns out I'm still awful at it, but it's super nostalgic for me as it was one of the cabinets in the NAAFI bar when I was first on a squadron in the RAF.
