That's ideal for me. Gives me a bit of time to save up the 20p a week pocket money! :D

I'll start saving just in case it all happens then.

I'm pretty sure I can get a few made up fully. But also depends on my funds. Just spent £600 with JLC . spent more with pcbway. This stuff all quickly adds up :(

I'd be up for one. I think birdseed version would be fine.
I have some version of an ST Edition here but it's really quite old and I don't think it's compatible with any proper firmware?

Rev3 ? The rev5 isn't that far different than r3 other than the IDE won't work on the r3. I haven't tried flashing r5 into r3. Don't think there is many r3 out there even.

Yep, it's a rev3 with 288XL.
But I figure it can be useful to at least have a current revision board. I'll persuade the rev3 to donate all of its parts to its rev5 sibling :)

@exxos @agranlund you could make an unf*ck board for the IDE connections and then I believe it should work.

I would have offered to build up the boards again for people but I really don’t have time at the moment.

I guess theoretically it is possible but I doubt I would ever have time to do that project myself. I am mostly dumping PCB work on to @Icky these days because I can't use the PC much anymore as my hands are always in pain. But he has more than a full plate of stuff to do at the moment. Even simple projects tend to drag on for months.

TBH I don't think it would really be worth all the effort for the small number of rev3 boards which are out there. I cannot even say if the V5 firmware would even work on a v3. It would probably just be easier to recycle the chips from a V3 onto a v5. Or just sell the V3 and build a new v5.

@exxos ive got a couple rev 3s but don’t use them as the 5 is much better, so will use them as donors

Just got shipment notification for the birdseed boards. That was faster than I thought :o
