@gebes No worries, I'll get the rom and decoder ordered from Exxos's store and will have a look at that Gotek adaptor whilst I'm at it.

Couple of bits and pieces left to do but it's nearly time for it to make its way back to @gebes

This is absolutely amazing and am so impressed with the whole board in general.

Certainly grateful there's people creating modern versions of such motherboards indeed.

Looking forward to using it in due course

So we’ve had a bit of a pause whilst installing the upgrades for @gebes’s H5 due to me being busy with work but yesterday the X2GS board arrived and is now fitted. The 3.3v bus resistor mod is done and just got to get the oled screen and rotary encoder sorted for the gotek.

More photos later on.

And here we are

Just got to screw the case together and tidy up the oled screen wires and it’s good to go back to @gebes.

I’ve not drilled the case for the oled screen cables in case Gebes wants to change the location, etc

To say I am impressed would be an understatement indeed.

To know that under the hood is a nice new H5 with all the tweaks such as dual tos , X2GS , gotek with the OLED screen and support for the images, powered by a nice exxos PSU, is so great indeed.

The original board taken out is yours to keep if you want it for any reason.

Thank you so much for doing the build for me :D

You are more than welcome. All it needs is a rev 5 tf536 and it’s all finished.

That X2GS sounds great. I have the X2 but the Roland sound bank sound incredible.

@PhilC Do you have a link for that carrier for the Gotek? Looks like a neat solution...

I've seen the link earlier in this topic for the LCD and rotary selector for the drive so it's just for the feet & carrier for the Gotek board if possible.

Thanks

Ok, thanks @PhilC I'll have a look later. I was wondering if the floppy drive pillars were part of the overall carrier or separate... need to see what is available I guess ;)
