Now that I look at it you could be right. One of my Mega's had that same blackish pattern but I just removed the stock fan and used one of Exxos's power supplies that puts off very little heat. No more black marks and the case barely gets warm after hours of operation.

Good point there. I'll keep an eye on it and if it goes out will grab one of Exxos's
replacements then.
I had already done the "recommended" mod from Best Electronics. Removing the plastic
fan slots from the Mega ST's case to improve air flow (especially since this machine
stays on literally 24/7 for the BBS).
