I had a ste with flaky dma it did see the ultrasatan fine just turned all the files into garbage

Yeah it has a micro usb port on the side which i have a cable plugged into and its powered from a phone charger

@MissZee sounds like you need to ask someone to test that ultrasatan for you, then youll know which bit is the faulty bit.

If i manage to get it tested and the Ultra Satan Works on a different machine ? What would the next stage be to working out the issue?

Well it all depends on your skill level. It may need diagnosing by someone who is well versed with fixing Ataris. It may take diagnosis with an Oscilloscope or just sorting out some dodgy soldered joints.
