Hi there. Welcome to the forum. :welcomewave:
Since I have never had an Atari running on anything other than high resolution monochrome mode, I was hoping you could tell me the model number of you BenQ monitor?

Not a Benq, but I have a NEC 1990FXp that works great in all resolutions. And they're very cheap, mine was £25 delivered.

@Cosmic Puppet I'm pretty sure I have a Benq monitor at home that works in all resolutions...I'll dig the model number out this evening (if i remember  ) & let you know.
I think that it was bought new in the last year or two as well...

Thanks @JezC
The BenQ ones seem to be available new and not too expensive.

Hi @Cosmic Puppet, mine is a Benq BL702A...and they look to still be available new for just over £80, so not the steal that those NEC monitors @rubber_jonnie suggested...

Thanks @JezC
I see from the Amazon page a lot of happy customers who bought it for the same reason I am. :)
Same size as the one I'm using too.

@Cosmic Puppet Yes, I've got it hooked into one of the UBESwitch adaptors in one of my ST's (when I'm not using it on my Falcon).
It's not as good as the image on a true monochrome monitor IMO but not bad & handy to be able to switch between all 3 video modes on one monitor.

At the price it's worth a shot for me. The way the screen starts up brighter in some areas until it warms up, it looks like my backlight is going on this LG. It also goes out of sync at least once a day. If I get this and it works I can rule out the Atari and still have colour either way.
I might even get a printer in the future.
I'm hooked on things of old now. :D
