It mostly happens in old PSU's and monitors but it can't hurt to check on this MB.
It looks exactly like the conductive glue i pulled out an old monitor a few months ago, that was a difficult one to solve.

The multimeter should be on the most sensitive setting, If you press the pins of your multimeter into the glue it should read infinite.

I just added a couple of shots of the keyboard internals. I haven't seen this type of keyboard before and I must say it is very nice. It uses a three layer membrane on the inside with tiny little springs to hold up each individual switch. Then on the topside it uses larger springs similar to Amiga keyboards. I have to say it is a rather nice keyboard to type on and much better quality than the rubber dome ones we're used to.

Anyone else come across this keyboard before?
