I think us extreme-nerds are both harsh when we try to be constructive, and sensitive about intended constructive criticism. I know I can do this where I post about my developments, depending on my mood (I have issues of my own). As an newbie/outsider of this environment I think it was means as constructive criticism, though he could have been worded it more diplomatically.

I have had a civil email exchange with Matze.
Seems he’s having a not nice time for other reasons so I have accepted that as an explanation for his tone.

Jens seems to have conceded that Stephen was right after all, if doing a 3.3V 060 only board. He was apparently under the impression that this would be 040 compatible which was never the intention.
Anyway, I received and soldered up my 1260 yesterday. Holy moly, the amount of caps! I haven't had time to test it yet, this will happen between tonight and tomorrow, kids permitting.

Oh noooo! Now, TF1260 is a bad bad card because its not also TF1240;)

Managed to snap the leg off one...

In fairness tho this was sitting in a tupperware box unprotected for 5 years before i started development and i've straightened the legs out lots of times..

Doesn't count for me, it's a mechanical damage that can be fixed...
