Could you try testing the range like $40400000-$40800000, just curious if you see the same as me ?
When I tested the range given by 8 Bit Dreams (I guess it's the range for the TF330?) it counted well above 4 MB before I aborted and all was ok :)

It’s ok :)
I only had my KS 1.3 nearby, but Workbench 1.3 loaded fine. I’m waiting for some 44 pin IDE headers to arrive, then I’ll do some major testing.
Edit: Pinball Dreams loaded without issues as well.

Don't forget - You need a Kickstart with scsi.device in it to be able to boot from IDE!

Yeah, that test will be done with 3.1 or 3.1.4. :)

Ok, just wanna be sure you know it..
Kickstart versions before 37.300 doesn't have scsi.device

Mkay.. As far as I can tell it passes the DiagROM tests. Chipmem ok, fastmem ok, CIA ok, IRQ ok, autoconfig ok. Four banks of 4 MB fastmem detected for some reason, but that might be normal for all I know.
KS 3.1.4 does absolutely nothing. Just a black screen. If I remember correctly the power light changes brightness, but that's it.
KS 3.1 does almost nothing. Black screen that changes from black to dark grey and then back. Seems like it's resetting itself periodically.
KS 1.3 works "fine". Workbench loads. No fastmem detected (normal for Zorro III RAM on KS 1.3 maybe?). SysInfo loads and gives bad results as of the chipmem only situation. Pinball Dreams loads and plays.

Yes, no Zorrolll RAM under KS 1.3 - that's normal.
Wich A500 Revision do You have rev.3 & rev.5 need to be modded to be able accept 512kb kickstarts
