I guess you could have a jumper to re-connect pin 31 if the DS1315 isn't fitted.

Exactly!

Been nothing but chaos today, but will make a lib for it tomorrow and add it to the MB :)

RTC added ( need to add battery holder yet)

If the RTC isn't used, then a jumper can be done on pins 10 & 11. So saves on a seperate jumper pad there.
