Normal PLCC sockets (not funky ones either, just normal PLCC sockets).
In the image you posted here: https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... ?f=19&t=15, the socket shapes make it look like they are surface mount sockets, not through hole.

I just looked at the image zoomed in and I can see they are through hole now, it just wasn't clear until I looked closer.
