That kind of things happen time to time...
I know, but on top of the PSIO issues it was not funny...

Yeah, you're frustrated twice in that case...

Spending money on something that doesn't work and on something that doesn't match.

I'm going to try installing the 2nd switch board I have in the PS1 in case the first is bad, after that I need to revert the PS1 and see if I can make it work as stock again.

I did try disabling the MOD Chip, but no difference.

But yeah, PSIO is not cheap so I want it to work.

:girldance:

PSIO is working now, I swapped out the switchboard for the 2nd one that was provided and it's working, just need to button everything down and reassemble and we should be good to go :)

Correct laser now ordered for the PS2 slim, so fingers crossed that'll be here soon, stuff seems to be taking around 10 days to come so I'll keep myself occupied with other stuff until then.

Yay!
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

I have to say it's a good job they supplied 2 switch units, but what are the chances of me picking up the bad one and installing it first!!!
