Looking good Jon. Hope those other bits have come in handy too.

I haven't done anything with the video board yet but I've used all of the RAM and logic ICs you sent :)

On question though, with Regards to the ROMs (You sent me two but I've not tried to read them yet) do you know what images are available for the 27C512's that this board uses?

I don't be honest, so you'll probably need to do a bit of googling? Hopefully you can use it for a few extra Atom roms? The two I sent were the standard roms I believe, ie OS and Basic.

Cool thanks, I'll do some digging. My TL866 doesn't like either ROM so I think I'll have to pull out my older DOS based programmer to see if I can read them.

I may ask over at Stardot, I'm sure somebody over there can help.

OK, so more parts arrived today, but not enough to complete the Atom.

Amongst them was this:

And if that isn't period correct I don't know what is, though I may feel guilty about opening it up sinxce it survived so long.

A few more parts fitted today, just waiting on the 6847, and some assorted logic ICs and then assembly is complete. I now have a ROM image as well, so I'll be able to give that a whirl and see what's what :)

So very nearly at the point I could do a test:

All I'm waiting on at the moment are the 6847 display chip and a 7445 logic IC. I'm hoping that it'll be built enough to test this week and then I can look at sorting out any missing connectors.
