Sense has nothing to do with it... The Motorola engineers baked it into the chip design.

So, I have confirmation from over at StarDOT that monochrome over NTSC is indeed correct for the Atom as standard.

I think having seen all the green screen images and used Atomulator, I was assuming green, especially since the Dragon uses the same 6847, and the Dragon uses green aplenty in it's palette :)

I have to say the Atom is running very nicely indeed, quite an interesting build.

I would definitely say it's an interesting and fun build and there are some great upgrades, the Yarrb and AtoMMC in particular are excellent.

@PhilC did you get either of those for your real machine and how did they run if you did?

Yes I have a Yaarb, Atommc and a noisekiller for my old Atom. I think that lot cost me more than buying the Atom did

I don't have a noisekiller yet but may well build the RGB2HDMI board you sent and I do have a colour board on order.

Yarrb and AtoMMC are just great I have to say.

@rubber_jonnie you'll not need the colour board if you build the rgb2hdmi as it plugs into the same set of header pins

I got it as a back up as the RGB2HDMI board may take a while to build...

Colour board will be faster. and will do until the RGB2HDMI is done.

OK, so the colour board is mostly built:

I'm just waiting on the3 IC's and some caps then I can give it a go. I'll report back when I'm done :)

I may also in the meantime start building the through hole parts of the RGB2HDMI board with the parts I have, but since I'm back to work tomorrow I may have to slow down again.

A little more done, IC 3 & IC4 fitted:

Annoyingly IC1 and IC3 are the same and I only managed to order one of them... :sigh:

Another one is on the way but I'm waiting for IC2 to come from Ali Express so it could be another week.

Hey ho...
