In mean Facebook used to be a lot of fun back in the beginning. These days it's just a meme sharing platform. Lots of my posts were jokes and got deleted because they wasn't factually correct
now get banned for sharing videos.
The only thing I really used Facebook for was the messenger.But message to many people in your friends list and you get banned. Facebook is a social network which bans you for being social. Not like I'm even a social person in the first place.
Companies already have emails and phone numbers. It makes sense to a point. But wouldnt be surprised if Zuckerberg is using peoples faces to train AI.. I mean he downloads loads of P*rn and said it was for personal use.. Plus he has a VR company..
Facebook is bad for malware in adverts. I block them as it's the only way to be safe. But Facebook is ransomware. Locked out until you give them at they want..
I don't know if it's the same with Microsoft windows.. But at least they let you windows for a few days without a serial number. Facebook could have done the same.. Nagscreen or baneed in 30 days. Not just banned goodbye.
I've been thinking of deleting my Facebook for years. But I kept in touch with old work mates etc who are not on any other platforms. They will wonder what's happened to me.. Also admin of 2 groups which will now die as i can't approve new members or posts anymore. Its not even me who suffers in all this. Its others.
Sometimes I post stuff on FB I don't post here. Sometimes useful to look back for images etc. While I mostly post funny cat videos, there's other stuff which I no longer have access to. Like local community Facebook groups. Was useful to ask people stuff like breakdown recovery services etc.. Mostly I don't read anything as I'm sick and tired of the endless sarcasm and abuse in groups which is never taken care of.
30 years gone now. A shame but its not like I didn't expect it. Would have been nicer to have been given notice not police state tactics. No thanks. The message is loud and clear. Chapter closed. Over and out.

Ah yep. I used to advertise on Facebook many years ago. Cost me lots of money.. Got banned..
Annoying as well as some people are no longer on this plane of existence and chat history is all I have of them now.. I cannot even access my profile whatsoever to even recover some things without falling victim to Facebook's ransomware tactics.. What a choice...... Well not playing the game is how I look at things these days... They already have my email and phone number and godknows what else. I am not giving them videos of myself as they will probably still ban me anyway. That's what google did to me.
