I completely agree and I always try to keep the original design of my retro stuff.

Me too. I've done quite a lot of composite mods and each time I do I don't drill the case to add connectors, I add flyleads instead and make it a reversible .

One thing about clear cases is that it reminds me of prison electronics which are clear to prevent inmates using them for no good!!!

I only made an exception for my A1200 and installed it in a black case.

I can see that, my A1200 is very scruffy and could do with a tidy up. I think black is a good choice as it is less likely to get as scruffy as the original colour over time.

I first had a new white case, but when I got my new white keys, I've then found the whole thing was to white compared to the original A1200...

So I decided to go for a black coloured Amiga.

I am very pleased of the result now:

Looks very smart indeed Where did you get the case and keys from if you don't mind me asking?

BTW I just ordered a Famicom N8 cartridge, will look much better than my NES carts sitting on an adapter

The case and keys are not a cheap endeavour, so I will have to see if I have other priorities first, but definitely a great look for the A1200.

The A1200 does look great in black. I do keep thinking about having a black keyed one in one of those dark purple transparent cases.
