DO NOT USE DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time it is unfortunately not possible to white list users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Re: The Family Computer has arrived!!!
And it arrived before lunch
It's a simple swap to drop in the new board where the old modulator/power board used to be:
Then it all goes back into the case very nicely:
It came with a decent set of cables: USB 5v power, TRRS out to AV and an AV extension lead:
And it looks great finished
And also has a nice white glow to show power is connected, and blue as well when powered on:
From the pics I've seen it was intended to be used with a clear case, so the LEDs make a bit more sense in that scenario.

Re: The Family Computer has arrived!!!
I did, I gave it a good wash in soapy water and scrubbed with a brush to get into all the corners.HigashiJun wrote: Thu Nov 13, 2025 10:43 pm Oh, and BTW, did you give the case a good clean ?

Re: The Family Computer has arrived!!!
I have to admit, I'm not really a fan of the clear cases tbh and I think the leds would be a bit too bright in that.HigashiJun wrote: Thu Nov 13, 2025 10:55 pm And here is what the clear case you were talking about looks like once fitted:

I do really like the aesthetics of the OG Famicom though, it's so compact and the carts are so much smaller, the NES was mostly fresh air

I completely agree and I always try to keep the original design of my retro stuff.
I only made an exception for my A1200 and installed it in a black case.
