DO NOT USE DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time it is unfortunately not possible to white list users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

That's why I requested help in writing a test program which would verify that kinda thing..

But thing is as well.. Nobody noticed the half hour timeout either.. That's a odd thing by itself..

I'll have to take my other falcon apart and try a 14mb card in that to see if a second falcon has the same issues..

Quickly connected up my original Falcon and put the 14 megabyte memory card in and this acts the exact same way

Same problem. Looks the the ezdrive was stuck on write for a while.. I went for a a shower and came back to a error... This was with HD12.53... 12.71 copied files until it filled up the disk.

So I think that rules out SCSI drive issues.

Was the program "ALTRAMFX.PRG" included in the Auto folder in version 12.53?

Okay, sorry. I thought the Falcon was powered by DFB1X ...

All tests on stock machine :)

Its like DMA doesn't work above 4MB RAM. But the SDMA has all addresses connected..

That's very confusing. But a hardware problem can't be completely ruled out?

Its hard to know what to point the finger at :(

Hardware faults would be generally more random. Like intermittent bad bits would cause even small files to fail eventually.. But that doesn't seem to be the case.

Its like a limit is reached somewhere. Maybe some odd bus conflict when the videl tries to access ram during a copy

But surely more people would have found out about this problem by now if it was a serious hardware fault..

I can't do anything really until Jookie gives me a test program. It may give some clues but ultimately it may not be fixable.
