Not sure about board assembly, but for blank PCBs it's a minimum of 5.peters wrote: 26 Jun 2025 11:30 Any PcbWay experts around ?

I selected PCB+assembly and click Add to cart.
It offers a lot of PCB options which I've not changed apart from adding a quantity of 1.
I click Calculate and it shows the price. I think this is for one assembled and 4 or 5 blank pcbs.
Is that it ? Have I missed anything ?

DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Decided to go with HIDman-mini as a like the compact design.
5 PCBs ordered from pcbway. I'll do the assembly here and post results.

Re: USB keyboard adapter
I was planning to 3D print the end plates and I was hoping to find a step file for the case (one is mentioned).
I will hit the order button and see what happens.
Thanks.

My Hidman arrived.
Plugged it in... Nothing. No led, no keyboard, no mouse.
This is my sort of luck with electronics.

Re: USB keyboard adapter
I've just been looking at that. The docs don't mention it apart from upgrading.
Step 1 should be install firmware...
I assumed there would be at least an led to show it was powered from the PS2. Maybe not.
I've spent a couple of hours trying to get the various tools installed in Ubuntu but now I need a usb A to usb A cable .

Re: USB keyboard adapter
The usb A-A cable arrived and I it didn't take long to successfully flash the firmware.
Plugged into the Ubuntu box and it works.
Plugged it into the ps/2 KVM and it works on the Ubuntu box and on the Milan.
At last, no more keyboard and mouse restrictions on the Milan.
Happy.

Re: USB keyboard adapter
The only thing not working is the wheel mouse and it looks like a firmware issue, it doesn't work on Lubuntu either. I've reported it on GitHub.
I've printed a nice box for it all ready.
