I better think about a couple of competitions.

Gaming competition again I think. Any theme suggestions? Last time I was there, we did three games, Defender, Phoenix and one I've forgotten

Some STs. (Preferrably TT or F030 for server running duties if there are more than 3 STs apparently).

Oh and MIDI leads. :D

IIRC multiplay Stunt Car Racer can work between an ST and an Amiga. How about that for a bit of hands across the divide? ;)

I can't remember what the actual experience is like -- my guess is if you're miles behind you never see the other car anyway, so it could be a bit pointless, but you could do a boxing belt style challenge system and if you can't be found to accept a challenge before the competition's over it becomes vacant and up for grabs again. The potential drama!

She likes the 2600 by the sounds of it. So I could bring mine down again for people to play on.
I'll need to check if my wife wants to attend again. She's not great with long journeys but also may not want to be 'on her own' at home with the dog & two cats...or she might relish not being ordered around by our daughter (who should be away at Uni by then)...

The other option might be to have a couple of cars to ferry everyone between Derby and the show, then it won't matter even if my wife is coming with me (we'd have room for two in the back).

I'm sure that I saw a couple of other forum members who were around that area, so if anybody else is planning on going and lives around there (or is passing on the M1/A50)

Anyway, I will try and find a good moment to ask...not tonight because we've had a long day driving over to collect our son from Uni (and we also popped into my Mum's house to try and clear up some of the IT stuff to keep any personal data secure before we organise any house clearance or anything).

Will find a suitable moment to ask the question and we can continue from there - but if anybody else is planning on going from/past the Derby area then even one or two spare seats in a car might be enough to make it a viable option if I can't take all 3...

I wouldn't worry about it. It's quickly getting to complicated. My girlfriend and her neighbour are not going to get into a car with a stranger without me there anyway. You youngsters go have fun, I'll enjoy not having to get out of bed early on a weekend :)

I prepared a 30-minute presentation for GEMTOS2025 in France upcoming weekend but unfortunately had to cancel due to family matters. But perhaps it would fit in at Cyber Legends 2025.

It's about my current project, an Atari ST app that I named MerckxST which generates MIDI music from Bluetooth sensors on my (stationary) bike in real time. It uses heart rate, speed, cadence and power BLE sensors with an Android phone acting as a bridge to get the data to Atari. I will bring a bike with rollers.

Let me know if it's not too weird for the event.
