Awesome!! The only downside it has for me is the limited input options, what is it again, just hdmi and VGA? I currently use an NEC with VGA, DVI-D and DVI-A which gives me great flexibility. But I suppose you can't have everything.

Yes, only limited options.

Just tested with the Amiga A1200. Not great as it can't handle the Amiga's pixel clock as it's outside the screen's adjustment in all resolutions. At the "100" level it doesn't quite get to the Amiga's horizontal scan rate. Pity.

But for the Falcon030 it's pretty awesome.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

This is always good news when a new monitor with support for our old machines is found.

Im still head over heels with the new Dell I got from Paul at CL3. This Acer looks fantastic too!

I wonder if some manufacturers are actually deciding to properly support our vintage HW at last?

An 8-way VGA switch will do it! :D

DVI-A is just VGA anyway. :-)

DVI-D is a sub-set of HDMI.

So, a VGA switcher and an HDMI switcher with DVI-A->VGA and DVI-D->HDMI adapters and Kate's your aunty.

My Sun badged NEC struggles with the Falcon's output, especially with a lot of the demos.

Obviously not completely otherwise it would handle the the Amiga correctly. :-)

Using a very cheap upscaler to HDMI from SCART from the Amiga produces a very nice display. Far better than the Samsung TV, though, of course, this adds lag so it's not a good option for games.

How much different is the Amiga horizontal freq than the ST one?

I don't know. I don't have an ST -> VGA cable to try it.

Ah, you tested it only with a Falcon. But I understand @stween tested it with a STE, right? Or this monitor was tested with Falcon only so far?
