Update: I have an archive to try out, but am presently suspecting HD Driver and SCSI.

The problem was solved with support from Badwolf. Thank you very much for that!

Badwolf was correct in his guess. I use now a SD card as an internal hard drive solution and everything works great now.

The best news is, that "Master of Orion" actually runs really faster and more playable with DFB1X. This makes it a lot more fun!

Thanks to everyone for your support!

I suspect it was more than a guess, but that's a good result 👍

Yes, it was definitly more then a guess! When a German writes quickly in English, he doesn't always get every word right. :-)

I did get around to trying this. It's a lovely conversion with a fully working DFB1(X). Definitely playable.

I don't have a SCSI drive so was unable to replicate the driver issue, but I suspect running from EmuTOS would work just fine.

Incidentally, with the support for 16 bit VDI now available in the latest EmuTOS snapshots, EmuTOS is now my preferred and recommended OS for DFB1.

Cheers,

BW

PS. It even runs in a window under MiNT -- although definitely no longer playable like this! :D

Thanks for your test and your information!

This also confirms my experiences with DFB1X and the conversion of Master of Orion. It's definitely very playable and makes really fun on Atari Falcon!
