What IDE do you mean?
The internal IDE of the A4000T is working fine. Makes no difference if with TF4060 installed or not.
I am also using a Buddha Plus One and its IDE is also working fine.

DO NOT USE DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time it is unfortunately not possible to white list users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Where you ever, with any fw, able to see a disk in the TF IDE.

Re: TF4060 Beta Program
Hi all,
I'm a proud new owner of a TF4060 with a 68060 Rev6 CPU. However, getting it to work in my A3000 didn't go as smoothly as I would have liked..
I learned rule #1 the hard way: Always make sure that a CPU board in the A3000 is pressed down really, really, REALLY hard into the slot!
Also, I had to fight with the Amiga filesystem getting corrupt on my ZuluSCSI, which caused all sorts of trouble (e.g. WHDLoad would start, but lock up immediately). I don't know if that can be caused by a flakey CPU connection, but those where my whoes..
My current state is that the system is working at 50 MHz - after some weeks of on and off work.
For now, I have some questions:
- What is the meaning of the color bars after a cold startup - is that the TF4060 initializing itself successfully? While getting the card to work, I had white "snowflakes" on a grey background occasionally for a fraction of a second - is that a failure state of the board?
- I'm running under AmigaOS ROM 3.1.4. Sysinfo shows that all Libraries are residing in the card's address space starting at $08000000 so the ROM seems to be remapped/copied. That seems to happen automatically?
- Strangely enough, Sysinfo shows that dos.library is version 40.5 (e.g. KS 3.0), where it should be 46.x (like the other libraries from 3.1.4 ROM). I haven't tested without the TF4060, but could that in any way be related to the cards initialisation?
From Germany,
-Stefan

Re: TF4060 Beta Program
The colourbars are an amiga tradition for 060 accelerators. They show that the code to disable the FPU before exec starts has been run. Nothing more.swinterstein wrote: Thu Sep 25, 2025 4:13 pm For now, I have some questions:

I dont understand this question. The rom modules get loaded in to ram because its expontentially faster than using it from rom. Is there a TF4060 question here? This question should really be directed at the AmigaOS developers.- I'm running under AmigaOS ROM 3.1.4. Sysinfo shows that all Libraries are residing in the card's address space starting at $08000000 so the ROM seems to be remapped/copied. That seems to happen automatically?
Again this is not a TF related question. Ask the AmigaOS developers.- Strangely enough, Sysinfo shows that dos.library is version 40.5 (e.g. KS 3.0), where it should be 46.x (like the other libraries from 3.1.4 ROM). I haven't tested without the TF4060, but could that in any way be related to the cards initialisation?
EDIT: I cannot support random question about AmigaOS. Sounds like your TF4060 is working as designed. There is no software in the TF except cpuspeed and ehide.device.

Please excuse the late reply.terriblefire wrote: Mon Sep 22, 2025 3:03 pm Where you ever, with any fw, able to see a disk in the TF IDE.
Yes, all CF cards or IDE hard drives that I connected to the TF were displayed in HDToolbox and I was able to format them correctly (using OS 3.2.x), but strange graphics errors occurred at low resolutions and the IDE often/randomly stopped working after read accesses.
When nothing is connected to the ehide.device, the card works perfectly.

Thanks, that helps. Maybe my wording was a bit sloppy, but I also wanted to share my experiences with others.terriblefire wrote: Thu Sep 25, 2025 4:52 pm Sounds like your TF4060 is working as designed. There is no software in the TF except cpuspeed and ehide.device.
You don't have to.
