I have one, but as per my last post this one is slowly dying, so perhaps the new one. Might see if I can get a replacement mainboard for it too, we'll see.alexh wrote: Thu Sep 17, 2026 2:48 pm While you have it on the bench like that you could fit a hwfly/picofly modchip? They are about £8 on AliExpress.

Good luck. My (2) full Switch v1's (both with patchable ROM) are sitting IDLE at the moment. Boxed up. They have seen a lot of use since 2017 but both still in great condition. (uSD card slot is a bit dodgy on one)
We have a Switch 2 now and that's the only handheld that ever gets played with.

Mine did see quite a bit of usage, but once the SD card slot started to go it made it a bit of a pain. Shame it's failed but it worked for a while and I do have another board that I can potentially rescue with parts from it, we'll see.alexh wrote: Thu Sep 17, 2026 5:01 pm Good luck. But those 0201 parts...
Man they make my head hurt.

Re: Exxos will like this colour of Switch Lite :)
OK, so the replacement arrived yesterday:
It's in very good condition, so all I've done is given it a quick wipe down and transfer my accounts from the old system, which is at least working well enough to do that.
It came with a small bonus too - a 64GB SD card, and yes the SD card reader works just fine and dandy, though I have dropped in my own 128GB card instead. I also fitted a screen protector.
Next up I need to have a think about whats next, as I have a supposedly good board (The one I sneezed and jolted off some parts on whilst soldering) and I may well be able to ressurrect that with the parts from the dead pink one. I have all the parts to build that into a new case, it just depends on how well I get on with transferring the parts over!!!
I think I'll take an anti-histamine before I get started!!! Perhaps wear a covid facemask too!
