DO NOT USE DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time it is unfortunately not possible to white list users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Yay!
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.

Well, my OSI is the gift that keeps on giving...

I had it out last week to check it before Cyber Legends 4.

It was all good, ran like a champ, worked fine from the Gotek.

As soon as I set it up when i arrived, I'm just getting a screen full of random characters...

No amount of tinkering brought it back to life.

It'll be back on the bench this week, bloody annoying.

At least I know some stuff is working, I have a good character ROM, good screen RAM and likely the main RAM is fine. My money is on the monitor ROM again.

Yeah, that's about the top and bottom of it.

Not had much time to do anything with it today. I swapped RAM about, no different, swapped CPU, no different, gave the SYN ROM socket and CPU socket a spray with contact cleaner, no different and it does the same with the CPU removed, so looking like no code is running. Same with the SYN ROM removed.

Not much time to look today and will be busy this week as on holiday next week.

It's quite annoying to have a working machine suddenly having issues.

Just hope you'll fix it up quickly.

Thanks, though I think I may park it and look at it when I'm less annoyed!!!

It's much like before, I just don't think the ROM code is getting to the CPU so nothing gets initialised. Could be something I haven't looked at yet as there are multiplexers in the mix that could be bad.
