DO NOT USE DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time it is unfortunately not possible to white list users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build
How very annoying. I ordered a 3.93216MHz crystal to replace the 4Mhz fitted to my OSI 600 after a discussion over on OSIWeb, and it arrived before I went on leave.
Can I find it now? No, for some reason it's disappeared while I was on holiday, probably the parts gremlins visited, but it's not on my desk, not in the build box or my parts drawers.
So my plan to fit it today is out of the window. Meh...

Nope, it's vanished
I have ordered another, so when that arrives I'll probably find the original...

Ah, bummer !
Now having your project postponed by a stupid oscillator...
Happened to me once and I have only recovered my vanished part once my project was completed.

I know it was on my workbench before going on holiday, I can only assume it got knocked into the bin under my desk and thrown away.HigashiJun wrote: Mon Sep 08, 2025 10:13 am @rubber_jonnie

That would play on my mind. It must be niggling for you too.rubber_jonnie wrote: Mon Sep 08, 2025 12:04 pm I know it was on my workbench before going on holiday, I can only assume it got knocked into the bin under my desk and thrown away.
I seem to have 'cognitive troubles' when looking for a specific lead I know was in a certain box somewhere, only for it to gradually dawn on me, after an exhaustive search, that I sold it with another unit of the corresponding piece of hardware it attaches to, or gave it to someone and no longer have it.

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build
Well, I installed the 3.93216MHz crystal and it all just worked fine right away
No issues with the floppy drive either, though I do need to test with the Gotek. I had considered bringing a real FDD to CL4, however I want to focus on reliability and the 5 1/4" drive isn't great. I think some of the media I have is old and unreliable too.
As a bonus, it seems the odd problem of the screen going bright over time is now fixed too, so definitely worthwhile doing.
