DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Re: TFMSX rev 2 features & problems
Hi,
Just got my tfmsx. I bought it without vdp. Luckily my msx 2+ vdp was not fake and I have video output working.
I have a question concerning the keyboard. There are two usb connectors. When I plugin a keyboard on the top one the usb light goes on (on the pcb). The bottom one the light does not turn on. (with both connectors the lights on keyboard do the blink at start) With both usb connections I however don’t have any keyboard functionality. Tried two keyboards (cherry and a steelseries one) . Maybe i’m doing something wrong. Or is it really finicky on compatibility?
Edit:
Also tried a corsair keyboard. This also did not work. Maybe only works with Logitech?
Chunky also tested with a Logitech one I think (no it was an unbranded one) Don’t have one of those…

Re: TFMSX rev 2 features & problems
Initial firmware had keyboard support on one port and game pad on the other one.
Later on I did write handler to check both for keyboard.
https://github.com/arkadiuszmakarenko/T ... DE/Release
Could you check this firmware please?
I have like 5 different brands and configurations (combos with mouse etc) that work ok, and I have one that doesn't enumerate at all on any micro-controller I use in my projects (it happens to be cheapest ASDA keyboard).

Re: TFMSX rev 2 features & problems
Yes that is the version I now tried indeed.
It probably had a different/buggy version when shipped.
The bottom USB also works but only when hot swapped. From a cold boot it is not recognised.
The top one always works.

Could it be that an FMPac does not work?
Bought a MSX Pico multicard however don’t hear any fm tunes…
SCC works great.
Not sure if this is an MSX Pico issue or an TFMSX one. Maybe somebody knows.
Tried it on another MSX and there it has FMPac sound (no it’s not the missing 12V as this is emulating the thing and it only needs 5V).

i've not tested an FMPac. Only SCC and the SCC emulation on the mega flash carts.Oldskool wrote: 13 Sep 2024 21:59 Could it be that an FMPac does not work?

This is the GitHub:
https://github.com/jeroentaverne/msxpico/wiki
He will sell them if you send him an email:
Around 80 euros excl. shipping
j.taverne@gmail.com
It has a menu at boot were you select a game (keyboard and joystick controlled)
FMpac does not seem to work and booting to Nestor (it boots to basic).
The other functions seem to work OK.

Re: TFMSX rev 2 features & problems
Have an additional question about the memory.
It seems that the tfmsx only has 64kb at least with a Carnivore (not mine) and a Pico MSX (both with Nestor).
This is probably the reason why it sometimes boot to basic in certain configs (as it needs 128 kb minimum).
At boot it says 128kb and 128kb.
So any idea were the lost 64kb is or is my tfmsx flashed with an old firmware as the keyboard controller was.
